Who we are

Mobile Occupational Therapist ("we", "us", "our") operates mobileoccupationaltherapist.co.uk and connects patients with independent, HCPC-registered occupational therapists for home visits. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

We are the data controller for that information. You can write to us at Mobile Occupational Therapist, Westwood Park Avenue, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 8NL. This is a correspondence address for administration only – there is no clinic or walk-in premises, because every appointment takes place in your own home.

What data we collect

• Enquiry and contact data: if you contact us by email, phone or a form on this site - your name, contact details, and the content of your message.
• Application data: if you apply to join us as an occupational therapist, the details submitted through our application form, including your CV and HCPC registration number.
• Technical data submitted with forms: when you send an enquiry or an application, we may record the IP address and browser the submission came from. This is used only to detect and block spam and abuse of our forms, and is kept with that submission rather than as a separate record of your browsing.
• Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how visitors use this website (pages viewed, general location, device type) - see our Cookie Policy for details.
• Provider-collected data: if you book a home visit, the individual occupational therapist who visits you may collect further information directly from you as part of your care - this is handled under their own professional and data protection obligations, separately from data we hold about your enquiry.

How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiry and connect you with a local occupational therapist
• To process applications from prospective occupational therapists, including HCPC verification
• To operate, maintain and improve this website
• To keep our forms secure, and to detect and block spam and abusive submissions
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Our legal basis for processing

We rely on: your consent (for example, when you submit an enquiry or application form); our legitimate interests (running and improving the website, keeping it secure and free of spam, and connecting patients with occupational therapists); and, where relevant, steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract.

Who we share data with

We share enquiry details with the specific occupational therapist covering your area, so they can respond to you. We may also share data with service providers who help us run this website (such as hosting and email delivery), under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and application data only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry or application, and to meet any legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. Children's data

Where a home visit or enquiry concerns a child, we only process the data necessary to arrange and deliver that visit, with appropriate parental or guardian consent, and in line with relevant safeguarding obligations.
